HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! We apologize for not keeping in touch as often as we would have liked since last year, but it was with good reason. The Director's Cut, from the very start, grew exponentially in popularity and size since it premiered in 2005. On one hand, this was fantastic, success always is! On the other hand, we had to move our ultimate goals forward as we seemed to be speeding towards them years ahead than projected. To that end, we have spent the past seven months reformatting, and improving The Director's Cut so that we could take advantage of the fast pace of growth we were and still are experiencing. One very exciting development is that APPLE will be hosting a Director's Cut screening at the APPLE STOREin LONDON, ENGLAND 7:30PM MARCH 8th FREE ENTRY. This is a first and speaks volumes on the caliber of filmmakers who participate in our festival as well as the high level of standards we like to maintain as a festival. If you are in London on MARCH 8th, please join us for a screening. It will be a preview of what to expect in future Director's Cut events. It is 2007 and this year will be a great one for The Director's Cut and aspiring filmmakers. We have developed and built upon new and current relationships with major industry movers and shakers and we want to use those connections to help new filmmaking talent. Our board members include Steven Hutensky, former EVP of MIRAMAX and Exec Producer of THE HUMAN STAIN and COLD MOUNTAIN and David Ravden, CEO of HANDMADE FILMS, formerly the largest independent film company from England. ----------------------------------- MAY 2006 VIEWER'S CHOICE WINNER!  Very pleased to announced that after an extended voting time, the Winner of the Viewers Choice Award is Director Michael Abraham with his short 'Wuji.'Wuji demonstrated, how powerful the fusion of choreography, sound and vision can be when balanced in post production to achieve the desired effect. This short received an astounding number of votes from literally all over the planet. We are very curious to see what comes out of this filmmaker in the future. Such great artistic expression is really indicative of a talent to manifest imagination onto celluloid. Best of luck Michael!!
